Call Of The Wild
05:51
|
|||
I was born on a starless night
In the warm mud by the riverside
I was baptized in the sinner’s well
I was a bad blood brother straight outta hell
Chorus 1
If you don’t know me don’t try to see me
Don’t talk to me, just stay away
I was raised as a demon child
With the free wind and the call of the wild
Now I howl like a wolf to the moon
On the hunt, on the prowl
And I’m coming to get you soon
Look out!
Chorus 2
If you don’t know me don’t try to see me
Don’t talk to me, just stay away
There ain’t nobody ever gonna change me
And so if you see me, just run away
SOLO
Now I roam these ancient plains
Like a scavenger, last in the chain
And I pore upon this wasted land
A king of a world you will never understand
Chorus 2 rep.
SOLO

Poison Whiskey
05:37
|
|||
I been running, I been hiding
On the wrong end of the law
Cheating and left bleeding on the floor
I been set up, I been locked up
Three long years doing time
My whole life is just a carnival of crime
It’s a game of survival, you gotta play by the rules
That’s life in the jungle and it’s cruel
Chorus
Devil’s supper for the devil’s breed
My poison whiskey is all I need
You can’t see teardrops in the falling rain
I need poison whiskey to ease my pain
I been playing with the big boys
Dealing on the street
Hustling every low life that I meet
The last fool who tried to cross me
The last thing he ever saw
Was a fleeting glimpse of my smoking .44
If you don’t learn to swim here, boy, you’re gonna drown
No matter what the only way is down
Chorus rep.
SOLO
If you see me in the backstreets, you’d better step aside
‘Cause there’s no one to save you here tonight
It’s just kill or be killed, it’s who’s the quicker on the draw
I’m the ruler, I’m the unwritten law
Chorus rep.
SOLO

Gone But Not Forgotten
04:51
|
|||
He once made rubies from ashes
He once made diamonds from dust
High on success every morning
But even Cadillacs rust
One day he pushed the wrong button
Now he’s gone
Gone but not forgotten
She was a queen of the city
An angel heavenmade
But nothing lasts forever
And all beauty must fade
Now she’s alone and downtrodden
Yes, she’s gone
Gone but not forgotten
SOLO
He lived his life as a farmer
It was his heart and his soul
But when the factory opened
He was left out in the cold
And now his crops are all rotten
Yeah, he’s gone
Gone but not forgotten
Not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
Not forgotten
SOLO

Money To Burn
03:25
|
|||
Got a feeling inside and I just can’t hide
Got a fire in my brain and it drives me insane
Got money to burn, got deeds to return
My life is almost over
There’s a man on the street, see his poor hands bleed
He’s down on his knees, don’t you hear his pleas
There’s a tear in his eye and his days pass by
His life is almost over
Turn the key, babe, let me in
Just sit tight, babe
Don’t delay - lead the way
Stear my heart clear of sin
There’s a hush in the choir, we’re paper and fire
A twist in the tale and all systems fail
There’s a spanner in the works and misery lurks
Haven’t you read the warning
The word is out, hear them scream hear them shout
The race isn’t won ‘till the bleeding is done
A hard night’s day and the ghosts are at play
Five more hours ‘till morning
Lay your head down, close your eyes
On the cold ground
You won’t dream - you won’t sleep
It’s too late for goodbyes
SOLO
Got a feeling inside and I just can’t hide
Got a fire in my brain and it drives me insane
Got money to burn, got deeds to return
My life is almost over
There’s a man on the street, see his poor hands bleed
He’s down on his knees, don’t you hear his pleas
There’s a tear in his eye and his days pass by
His life is almost over
Listen here, babe, you will learn
Just sit tight, babe
Gotta burn, gotta burn, gotta...

Death Row Blues
06:33
|
|||
Somebody hear me call
Oh, won’t somebody listen
My baby’s out there having fun
While I’m rotting up in prison
She’s wearing her high heels now
While I’m scraping shit off my shoes
Yeah, life’s a bitch, baby
When you’re stuck here with these death row blues
I’ve been here for so long
It’ll be nine years this summer
My cell ain’t no presidential suite
And the service is a bummer
You know I ain’t got nothing
So I ain’t got nothing to lose
But life’s a bitch, baby
When you’re stuck here with these death row blues
SOLO
You know I shot a guy in Houston
But I swear it was him or me
So they locked me up with rats and bugs
To keep me company
I pray for absolution
But I know it’s no use
‘Cause no one listens to you
When you’re stuck here with these death row blues
SOLO
Yeah, you’d be here with me, baby
If it was for me to choose
And your sorry ass would feel the pain of waiting
Waiting...
Waiting...
With these death row blues

Grind Ya Down
04:48
|
|||
When there’s smoke there’s a fire burning
When there’s light all over the sky
There’s people learning
To your left and to your right
You’re always facing a fight
A world all evil and cruel
Better wake up and wise up
Don’t be such a fool
There’s a war just outside your window
And no pot of gold waits at the end of the rainbow
Guns a-shootin’ in the street
Bodies burning in the heat
People dying all around
Sooner or later this world will grind ya down
SOLO
City streets where the shadows flicker
Loaded gun in your face
The kid is ready to pull the trigger
You ain’t down with the hood
And soon you won’t look that good
Take a good look around
‘Cause sooner or later this world will grind ya down
Yes, sooner or later this world will grind ya down
Oh, sooner or later...

Highway Man
05:49
|
|||
I’m rolling down the highway, talking to the wind and rain
I only got this highway to keep me from going insane
My life has gone wrong and I only got myself to blame
Now I’m looking for someone to get me back on the track again
My wheels they keep spinning, the sun is just a mile ahead
The sky is my limit, the road is my daily bread
I don’t know where I’m going, but I know I haven’t got there yet
I got my V8 burning and I’ll roam ‘till I’m dead
Chorus
I’m a highway man
Catch me if you can
I’m a highway man
SOLO
Chorus rep.
I’m longing for tomorrow to see what might come my way
Trying to get over the memories of yesterday
My heart it got broken and my mind it got blown away
Now I’m a two wheel gypsy, what more can I say
Chorus rep.

Narrow Road
08:31
|
|||
A drifting ship on the ocean blue
Lost and longing, many miles from you
A purple sky and a crimson moon
Hoping I will find my way home soon
An angel’s kiss on my bare cheek
It doesn’t help me, I’m still sad and weak
Into the night, lost and astray
My wild thoughts drifting further away
Chorus
My heavy load
My life is almost through
This narrow road
Will take me back to you
Can’t tell night from day or up from down
My body’s yearning, back on solid ground
No one can find me, I’m lost with no trace
And these endless waters will be my resting place
Chorus rep.
SOLO
As evening falls another candle dies
I lift my head towards the starry skies
I cry out loud, though just in vain
Sweet angels, guide me back to her again
Chorus rep. x2
SOLO
